Say: O my Lord! if Thou shouldst make me see what they are threatened with: 93 My Lord! then set me not among the wrongdoing folk. 94 Surely We are able to show you what We warn them against. 95 Respond to the injustice (done to you) with the better deed. We know best what they attribute to God. 96 And pray: "My Lord! I seek Your refuge from the suggestions of the evil ones; 97 I seek your protection should they approach me." 98 lt ceaseth not until when death cometh to one of them, and he saith: my Lord! send me back. 99 that I should do righteousness in that I forsook' No! It is only a word which he will speak. Behind them there shall stand a barrier till the Day that they shall be resurrected. 100 Then when the Trumpet is blown there will be no lineage among them that Day, nor will they ask of each other. 101 And those whose scales are heavy [with good deeds] - it is they who are the successful. 102 And the ones whose scales prove light – it is they who put their lives into ruin, remaining in hell forever. 103 Their faces will be scorched by flames, and they will grin and scowl within it. 104 [It will be said]. "Were not My verses recited to you and you used to deny them?" 105 They will say: "O Lord, our misery overwhelmed us, so we remained a people astray. 106 “Our Lord, remove us from hell – then if we do the same, we are the unjust.” 107 He shall say: slink away there unto, and speak not unto Me. 108 Indeed, there was a party of My servants who said, 'Our Lord, we have believed, so forgive us and have mercy upon us, and You are the best of the merciful.' 109 But you took them for a mockery until they made you forget My remembrance and you used to laugh at them. 110 I have rewarded them this day for they were constant, and they have come to attainment." 111 He will say: How long tarried ye in the earth, counting by years? 112 They will answer: "We have spent there a day, or part of a day; but ask those who [are able to] count [time]" 113 He will say: Ye tarried but a little if ye only knew. 114 What! did you then think that We had created you in vain and that you shall not be returned to Us? 115 [KNOW,] then, [that] God is sublimely exalted, the Ultimate Sovereign, the Ultimate Truth: there is no deity save Him, the Sustainer, in bountiful almightiness enthroned! 116 He, who invokes another deity along with God, a deity of whose divinity he has no proof, will be brought to account by his Lord. Certainly, those who deny the truth shall never prosper. 117 Say, "Lord, forgive us and have mercy. You are the best of those who show mercy." 118
