The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah)
96 verses, revealed in Mecca after T H (Taa Haa) before The Poets (Alshu'araa')
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ When the great event comes to pass, 1 There is, at its occurrence, no denial. 2 Abasing (some), exalting (others); 3 When the earth will tremble, shivering. 4 And the mountains shall be made to crumble with (an awful) crumbling, 5 and become a dust, scattered, 6 You will become three categories: 7 Companions of the Right (O Companions of the Right!) 8 The people of the left hand - those whose books of records will be placed in their left hands. How miserable they will be! 9 And the preceders are the preceders. 10 These will be those nearest to Allah. 11 In gardens of tranquility; 12 A numerous company from among the first, 13 And a few of the later peoples, 14 On studded thrones. 15 Reclining on them, facing each other. 16 Round about them shall go youths never altering in age, 17 With goblets and ewers and a cup of pure drink; 18 Unheady, uninebriating; 19 And fruits such as they choose, 20 Bird meats that they relish, 21 And pure, beautiful ones, 22 The likenesses of pearls well-protected, 23 as reward for their deeds. 24 There they shall hear no idle talk, no cause of sin, 25 Other than "Peace, peace" the salutation. 26 And the companions of the right hand; how happy are the companions of the right hand! 27 Amid thornless lote-trees, 28 And banana-trees (with fruits), one above another. 29 Lengthened shadows, 30 and outpoured waters, 31 and fruit abounding, 32 Neither intercepted nor forbidden, 33 on raised couches. 34 Indeed We formed them (the houris and all believing women), 35 having resurrected them as virgins, 36 Loving, of equal age. 37 For the companions of the right [who are] 38

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
