Thorns (Al-Masad)

5 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Key (Al-Faatehah) before The Rolling (Al-Takweer)

In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate

Destroyed were the hands of Abu Lahab, and he lay utterly doomed. 1 His wealth and his children (etc.) will not benefit him! 2 He will be burnt in a Fire of blazing flames! 3 and his wife, laden with firewood 4 upon her neck a rope of palm-fibre. 5

God the Almighty always says the truth.
