Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
CONSIDER these [messages,] sent forth in waves 1 and then storming on with a tempest's force, 2 Then by oath of those that lift and carry. 3 And by the Verses (of the Quran) that separate the right from the wrong. 4 And those winds that bring down the remembrance. 5 to excuse some and warn others: 6 Surely, what you are promised must come to pass. 7 Then the stars will lose their light. 8 when heaven shall be split 9 and the mountains scattered, 10 And when the apostles are collected at the appointed time, 11 For what Day was it postponed? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 And what will make you comprehend what the day of decision is? 14 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 15 Did We not destroy the earlier peoples? 16 So shall We make later generations to follow them. 17 [for] thus do We deal with such as are lost in sin. 18 On that day, woe upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 19 Did We not create you from a weak water, 20 Then We placed it in a secure resting-place, 21 Till an appointed term, 22 Thus We arranged. How excellent is Our arranging! 23 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle 25 for both the living and the dead? 26 And placed in it lofty and broad stablisers, and gave you sweet water to drink? 27 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 28 “Move towards what you used to deny!” 29 Walk on to the covering having three branches, 30 which neither provides (cooling) shade nor protection against the flames; 31 Lo! it throweth up sparks like the castles, 32 As if they were Jimalatun Sufr (yellow camels or bundles of ropes)." 33 On that day, woe would be upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 34 This is the day they shall not speak 35 Nor given leave to make excuses. 36 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 37 This is the Day of Judgement. We have assembled you all together with past generations. 38 So if you have a plan, plan against Me (now). 39 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 40
