Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
50 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah) before Q (Qaaf)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
By (the angels) sent forth with the commands of God, 1 storming tempestuously 2 By those which cause earth's vegetation to revive; 3 By those who winnow with a winnowing, 4 Then spread abroad a Message, 5 To cut off all excuses or to warn; 6 that whatever with which you have been warned will inevitably come to pass. 7 Then when the stars lose their lights; 8 When the heaven is cleft asunder; 9 and when the mountains are scattered like dust, 10 And when the time comes for messengers to meet -- 11 For what Day are these (portents) deferred? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 And what will make you comprehend what the day of decision is? 14 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 15 Destroyed We not the ancients? 16 And We shall cause those of later times to follow them. 17 Even thus shall We deal with the guilty. 18 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 19 Did We not create you from an insignificant drop of fluid 20 Then We placed it in a place of safety (womb), 21 for a term pre-ordained? 22 We then calculated; so how excellently do We control! 23 Woe, on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 24 Did We not make the earth a storehouse? 25 The living and the dead, 26 Have We not placed high mountains upon it and filled you with sweet water? 27 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 28 Walk on to that which you called a lie. 29 "Depart ye to a Shadow (of smoke ascending) in three columns, 30 wherein there is neither shade, nor freeing from the blazing flames 31 and throwing up sparks as huge as towers 32 So like golden camels." 33 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 34 This is a day in which they will not be able to speak. 35 nor shall they be given permission, so that they can apologize. 36 The mountains reduced to dust and blown away, 37 that Day of Distinction [between the true and the false, when they will be told]: "We have brought you together with those [sinners] of olden times; 38 If now ye have any craft, try that craft upon Me. 39 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 40

If you have difficulty understanding an interpretation, tap on the page number to reload it with a different set of translators. You may find it clearer, God willing. ColorfulQuran.com does not endorse or prefer any particular translation over another and displays it only for information.
Click or tap on "random" to go to any random page. Click or tap the triangle to the left of "random" to go to a random page before the current page, or the triangle to the right to go to a random page after the current page. Using these features of ColorfulQuran.com, you can use the right triangle or arrowhead to skim through the entire Holy Book from the first Surah, The Key (Al-Fatihah), to the last, The People (An-Nas), in a few minutes while stopping at random pages in between. This will make your readings cluster more on Juz Amma's short surahs at the end of the Quran. You can also do the same in reverse order using the left triangle or arrowhead, which will cluster your readings more at the beginning of the Holy Quran.
