He Frowned ('Abasa)
42 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Stars (Al-Najm) before Destiny (Al-Qadr)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
۞ (The Prophet (Peace be upon him)) frowned and turned away, 1 that the blind man came to him. 2 You never know. Perhaps he wanted to purify himself, 3 Or be reminded and the remembrance would benefit him? 4 Now as for him who believes himself to be self-sufficient 5 to him didst thou give thy whole attention, 6 And no blame is on you if he would not purify himself 7 And as for him who cometh unto thee running, 8 and in awe of God 9 you pay no heed to him. 10 Indeed, this [Quran] is an admonition. 11 So whoso wills may give heed to it. 12 On honourable pages. 13 Exalted and purified, 14 Written by the hands of emissaries. 15 Honourable and obedient. 16 [But only too often] man destroys himself: how stubbornly does he deny the truth! 17 Of what thing hath He created him? 18 From a single sperm He created, then proportioned him, 19 He makes his path easy for him. 20 Then He causes him to die and be buried. 21 and then, if it be His will, He shall raise him again to life, 22 Indeed, he has not fulfilled that which He has ordered him. 23 Let man, then, consider [the sources of] his food: 24 We poured water, pouring it in great abundance, 25 Then We cracked the earth open under pressure (of germination) 26 And We made corn grow, 27 And grapes and clover, 28 And olive-trees and palm-trees 29 And gardens of dense shrubbery 30 and fruits, and pastures, 31 In order to benefit you and your cattle. 32 AND SO, when the piercing call [of resurrection] is heard 33 on that Day a man shall flee from his own brother, 34 And his mother and his father 35 And his wife and his sons; 36 Everyone on that Day will have affairs to keep him occupied. 37 Some faces will on that Day be bright with happiness, 38 Laughing, rejoicing. 39 but others will be gloomy 40 Dust shall cover them 41 Such will be the Rejecters of Allah, the doers of iniquity. 42
Almighty God's Truth.

Notes and Instructions
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
ColorfulQuran.com displays pages in one of three Arabic fonts. Each may appear with a one-third chance, adding more diversity to the already diverse colors. And the words remain unchanged forever. ColorfulQuran.com will have more beautiful fonts soon, God willing.
