Thorns (Al-Masad)

5 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Key (Al-Faatehah) before The Rolling (Al-Takweer)

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

May the hands of Abu Lahab be ruined, and ruined is he. 1 No profit to him from all his wealth, and all his gains! 2 [In the life to come] he shall have to endure a fire fiercely glowing; 3 And so will his wife; carrying a bundle of firewood on her head. 4 Will have upon her neck a halter of palm-fibre. 5

Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
