Is it not plain to those who inherit the earth after its inhabitants that if We willed We could smite them for their sins and set a seal upon their hearts, so that they do not hear. 100 These are the dwellings – the affairs of which We relate to you (Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him); and indeed their (respective) Noble Messengers came to them with clear proofs; so they were not able to believe in what they had denied before; this is how Allah sets seals upon the hearts of disbelievers. 101 Most of them We found not men (true) to their covenant: but most of them We found rebellious and disobedient. 102 Then We sent, after them, Moses with Our signs to Pharaoh and his Council, but they did them wrong; so behold thou, how was the end of the workers of corruption! 103 And Moses said, "O Pharaoh, I am a messenger from the Lord of the worlds 104 duty-bound to say nothing about God but the truth, and I have brought you a clear sign from your Lord. Let the Children of Israel go with me." 105 The Pharaoh asked Moses to show his miracles if he was telling the truth. 106 Thereupon [Moses] threw down his staff, and lo! it was a serpent, plainly visible; 107 Then he drew out his hand and it was luminous to the onlookers. 108
