Say: "I am only a warner, and there is no other god but God, the one, the omnipotent, 65 Lord of the heavens and the earth and all that lies between them, all-mighty, all-forgiving." 66 Say, "It is great news 67 From which you turn away. 68 [Say, O Muhammad:] "No knowledge would I have had of [what passed among] the host on high when they argued [against the creation of man,] 69 Only this has been revealed to me that I am a distinct warner. 70 [For,] lo, thy Sustainer said unto the angels: "Behold, I am about to create a human being out of clay; 71 and when I have formed him fully and breathed My spirit into him, prostrate yourselves before him." 72 The angels prostrated themselves, all of them. 73 except iblis (satan, the father of the jinn), he became too proud, for he was one of the unbelievers. 74 Said He: "O Iblis! What has kept thee from prostrating thyself before that [being] which I have created with My hands? Art thou too proud [to bow down before another created being,] or art thou of those who think [only] of themselves as high?" 75 He (satan) replied: 'I am better than he. You created me from fire, and You created him from clay' 76 "Begone! You are accursed: 77 Upon you will be My damnation till the Day of Doom." 78 [Iblis (Satan)] said: "My Lord! Give me then respite till the Day the (dead) are resurrected." 79 He said: Lo! thou art of those reprieved 80 “Until the time of the known day.” 81 He said: "By Your authority, I will lead them astray, 82 Save Thy bondmen among them Sincere. 83 Allah said: the truth is, and it is the truth that I speak 84 that I shall certainly fill hell with you and your followers all together". 85 Say thou: I ask of you for it no hire, nor am I of the affecters. 86 “It is not but an advice for the entire world.” 87 “And you will come to know of its tidings, after a while.” 88
