Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
50 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah) before Q (Qaaf)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
I CALL TO WITNESS those who are sent consecutively, 1 Which then blow violently in tempestuous Gusts, 2 And scatter (things) far and wide; 3 Then separate them, one from another, 4 by those who bring down the reminder, 5 As justification or warning, 6 Most surely what you are threatened with must come to pass. 7 So when the stars are obliterated 8 Heavens will rent asunder. 9 And when the mountains are carried away as dust, 10 And when the time comes for raising the little girls (buried alive) -- 11 For what day is that time fixed? 12 For the Day of Distinction [between the true and the false]! 13 And what will explain to thee what is the Day of Sorting out? 14 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 15 Did We not destroy the men of old (for their evil)? 16 And We shall cause those of later times to follow them. 17 Thus deal We ever with the guilty. 18 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 19 Did We not create you from a weak water, 20 Which We laid up in a safe abode 21 Till an appointed term, 22 So We decreed. How excellent are We as decreers! 23 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 24 Have We not made the earth a container 25 for the living and for the dead? 26 And made therein lofty mountains, and given you to drink of sweet water? 27 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 28 Proceed now towards that which you were wont to deny as false; 29 proceed towards the three-pronged shadow, 30 Neither shading nor availing against the flame. 31 Indeed, it throws sparks [as huge] as a fortress, 32 Seeming like yellow camels. 33 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 34 This is a Day whereon they shall not be able to speak. 35 nor be allowed to proffer excuses! 36 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 37 This is the Day of Judgement. We have assembled you all together with past generations. 38 So if you have a plan, plan against Me (now). 39 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 40

Notes and Instructions
When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
There are memorization exercises for the original Arabic and English transliterated Arabic modes only. The English translation mode has no memorization exercises.
