WITH ALL THIS, man [often] says, "What! Once I am dead, shall I again be brought forth alive?" 66 Will the human not remember that We created him before when he was not a thing? 67 So by your Lord, surely, We shall gather them together, and (also) the Shayatin (devils) (with them), then We shall bring them round Hell on their knees. 68 Then We shall pluck out from every sect whichever of them was most stubborn in rebellion to the Beneficent. 69 Then, verily, We know best those who are most worthy of being burnt therein. 70 There is not one of you but shall approach it. That is a fixed ordinance of thy Lord. 71 But We shall save those who guarded against evil, and We shall leave the wrong-doers therein, (humbled) to their knees. 72 AS IT IS, whenever Our messages are conveyed to them in all their clarity, those who are bent on denying the truth are wont to say unto those who have attained to faith: "Which of the two kinds of man is in a stronger position and superior as a community?" 73 How numerous are the peoples We destroyed before them - those that were more resourceful and grander in outward appearance! 74 Say: As for him who is in error, the Beneficent will verily prolong his span of life until, when they behold that which they were promised, whether it be punishment (in the world), or the Hour (of doom), they will know who is worse in position and who is weaker as an army. 75 Allah increaseth in right guidance those who walk aright, and the good deeds which endure are better in thy Lord's sight for reward, and better for resort. 76 Have you seen him who rejected Our signs and said: "Surely I shall continue to be favoured with riches and children." 77 Has he looked to the unseen, or has he made a pledge to the Merciful One? 78 By no means! We write down what he says, and We will lengthen to him the length of the chastisement 79 and We shall inherit all the resources and hosts of which he boasts, and he will come to Us all alone. 80 And they have taken besides Allah [false] deities that they would be for them [a source of] honor. 81 But they shall reject their worship and turn against them. 82
