And convey unto them the story of Abraham 69 Behold, he said to his father and his people: "What worship ye?" 70 They replied: "We worship idols and are devoted to them." 71 He asked them, "Can the idols hear you when you pray to them 72 Or do they benefit you, or do they harm?" 73 They said, "No, but our fathers worshipped them." 74 He said: "Do ye then see whom ye have been worshipping,- 75 You and your ancient forefathers? 76 They are an enemy to me, except the Lord of all Being 77 “The One Who created me, so He will guide me.” 78 He Who feedeth me and giveth me to drink. 79 He who cures me when I am ill; 80 He will cause me to die and will bring me back to life. 81 and who, [hope, will forgive me my faults on Judgment Day! 82 My Lord! Vouchsafe me wisdom and unite me to the righteous. 83 And ordain for me a goodly mention among posterity 84 And place me among the inheritors of the Garden of Pleasure. 85 And forgive my father; verily he is of the erring. 86 Degrade me not upon the day when they are raised up, 87 The Day when neither wealth nor sons shall benefit 88 except what is done in obedience to God with a submissive heart. 89 For, [on that Day,] paradise will be brought within sight of the God-conscious, 90 whereas the blazing fire will be laid open before those who had been lost in grievous error; 91 "And it shall be said to them: 'Where are the (gods) ye worshipped- 92 beside Allah? Can they be of any help to you, or even be of any help to themselves?" 93 So they and all the astray were flung into hell. 94 and the hosts of Iblis - all together. 95 And they, while contending therein, shall say: 96 By Allah, of a truth we were in error manifest 97 when we deemed you [false deities] equal to the Sustainer of all the worlds 98 It was naught but the sinners that led us astray; 99 Now we have no intercessors 100 Nor a close friend (to help us). 101 Oh, that we had another turn (on earth), that we might be of the believers! 102 Verily! In this is indeed a sign, yet most of them are not believers. 103 Your Lord is certainly Majestic and All-merciful. 104

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
ColorfulQuran.com displays pages in one of three Arabic fonts. Each may appear with a one-third chance, adding more diversity to the already diverse colors. And the words remain unchanged forever. ColorfulQuran.com will have more beautiful fonts soon, God willing.
