THUS, INDEED, did We bestow Our favour upon Moses and Aaron; 114 And We saved them and their people from the great affliction, 115 and We helped them, so that they were victorious; 116 And We gave them both the Book that made (things) clear. 117 And We guided them to the Straight Way. 118 And We left (this blessing) for them among generations (to come) in later times: 119 'Peace be upon Moses and Aaron' 120 This is how We reward those who do good: 121 They were among Our believing worshipers. 122 Verily Elias is one of the apostles. 123 He said to his people, "Have you no fear [of God?] 124 Do you call on Baal, and abandon the Best of creators? 125 Allah, your Lord and the Lord of your fathers of yore? 126 But they cried him lies; so they will be among the arraigned, 127 except Allah's chosen servants. 128 And We left his (memory) for posterity. 129 "Peace and salutation to such as Elias!" 130 Verily, thus do We reward the Muhsinun (good-doers, who perform good deeds totally for Allah's sake only - see V. 2:112). 131 Indeed, he was of Our believing servants. 132 Lot was also one of the messengers. 133 We rescued him and his whole family, 134 Save an old woman among the lingerers. 135 Then We annihilated the others. 136 And indeed, you pass by them in the morning 137 And during the night; so do you not have sense? 138
