۞ And when a description of the son of Marium is given, lo! your people raise a clamor thereat. 57 "Are our gods any better than Jesus (for according to Muhammad), if our gods go to hell so too will Jesus. What they say is only a false argument. In fact, they are a quarrelsome people. 58 Jesus was not but a servant upon whom We bestowed favor, and We made him an example for the Children of Israel. 59 If We pleased We could have put angels in place of you as trustees on the earth. 60 And (Jesus) shall be a Sign (for the coming of) the Hour (of Judgment): therefore have no doubt about the (Hour), but follow ye Me: this is a Straight Way. 61 And never let Satan avert you. Indeed, he is to you a clear enemy. 62 When Jesus came with clear proofs (of Allah's Sovereignty), he said: I have come unto you with wisdom, and to make plain some of that concerning which ye differ. So keep your duty to Allah, and obey me. 63 God is your Lord and my Lord, so worship Him. This is the right path". 64 But parties from among them differed, so woe to those who were unjust because of the chastisement of a painful day. 65 Are they waiting (for any thing) but the Hour (of Doom) which would descend upon them suddenly, and catch them unawares? 66 The intimate friends on that Day will be hostile unto one another save the God-fearing. 67
