And indeed We have created man, and We know what his ownself whispers to him. And We are nearer to him than his jugular vein (by Our Knowledge). 16 When both receivers (the angels) receive, one on his right, the other on his left, 17 He does not utter a single word, without a ready recorder seated next to him. 18 And the hardship of death came with the truth; “This is what you were escaping from!” 19 And the trumpet shall be blown; that is the day of the threatening. 20 And there will come forth every soul: with each will be an (angel) to drive, and an (angel) to bear witness. 21 [It will be said], "You were certainly in unmindfulness of this, and We have removed from you your cover, so your sight, this Day, is sharp." 22 And his companion (angel) will say: "Here is (this Record) ready with me!" 23 "Cast into Hell every ungrateful, rebellious one, 24 "Hinderer of good, transgressor, doubter, 25 and an idol worshipper. Throw him into severe torment". 26 ۞ His Companion will say: "Our Lord! I did not make him transgress, but he was (himself) far astray." 27 Allah will say: wrangle not in My presence, and I had already proferred unto you the threat. 28 “With Me, the decree does not change, and nor do I oppress the bondmen.” 29
