The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
۞ Glorify the name of your Lord, the Most High, 1 who creates [every thing,] and thereupon forms it in accordance with what it is meant to be, 2 Who measureth, then guideth; 3 And Who bringeth out the (green and luscious) pasture, 4 And then makes it dark stubble. 5 By degrees shall We teach thee to declare (the Message), so thou shalt not forget, 6 Except what Allah, may will, He knows what is apparent and what is hidden. 7 We shall ease you to the easy. 8 So render good counsel if good counsel will avail. 9 Those who have fear of God will benefit 10 And the most unfortunate one will avoid it, 11 even he who shall roast in the Great Fire, 12 Then therein he shall neither live nor die. 13 He who purified himself shall prosper, 14 And magnifies the name of his Lord and prays. 15 But rather you prefer the life of this world! 16 While the hereafter is better and more lasting. 17 Lo! This is in the former scrolls. 18 The Books of Abraham and Moses. 19
