The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
By the midday brightness 1 And by the Night when it is still,- 2 Your Lord has not forsaken you, nor has He become displeased, 3 What is to come is better for you than what has gone before; 4 And your Lord is going to give you, and you will be satisfied. 5 Did He not find you as an orphan and give you shelter? 6 And find you lost (that is, unrecognized by men) and guide (them to you)? 7 Did He not find you poor and enrich you? 8 As for the orphan, do not oppress him, 9 and do not chide the one who asks for help; 10 But tell of the favors of your Lord! 11
True are the words of God the Almighty.
