It is He who gave you ears, eyes and hearts, yet how seldom you are grateful! 78 It is He who scattered you in the earth, and to Him you shall be mustered. 79 And it is He who gives life and causes death, and His is the alternation of the night and the day. Then will you not reason? 80 Nay, but they say the like of that which said the men of old; 81 They say: when we are dead, and have become dust and bones, shall we verily be raised up? 82 Assuredly this we have been promised - we and our fathers - aforetime: naught is this but the fables of the ancients. 83 Say O dear Prophet (Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him), “To Whom does the earth and all that is in it belong to, if you know?” 84 They will say, "To Allah!" say: "Yet will ye not receive admonition?" 85 Say: "Then who is the Lord of the seven skies? And who is the Lord of the mighty Throne?" 86 They will say: "God." Say: "Then why do you not obey and fear Him?" 87 Say "In Whose Hand is the sovereignty of everything (i.e. treasures of each and everything)? And He protects (all), while against Whom there is no protector, (i.e. if Allah saves anyone none can punish or harm him, and if Allah punishes or harms anyone none can save him), if you know." [Tafsir Al-Qurtubi, Vol. 12, Page 145] 88 'Allah' they will reply. Say: 'How then can you be so bewitched' 89 Nay, We have conveyed unto them the truth: and yet, behold, they are intent on lying [to themselves]! 90 Never did Allah take unto Himself any son, nor is there any god other than He. (Had there been any other gods) each god would have taken his creatures away with him, and each would have rushed to overpower the other. Glory be to Allah from all that they characterize Him with! 91 The Knower of the unseen and the seen, so may He be exalted above what they associate (with Him). 92
