The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
I CALL TO witness those who stand arrayed in rows, 1 By the angels driving away. 2 and those who recite the Remembrance 3 surely your God is One, 4 Lord of the heavens and the earth and all that is between them – and the Lord of the sun’s rising points. 5 Behold, We have adorned the skies nearest to the earth with the beauty of stars, 6 (For beauty) and for guard against all obstinate rebellious evil spirits, 7 They cannot listen to the higher group (angels) for they are pelted from every side. 8 rejected, and theirs is an everlasting chastisement, 9 And if any is able to snatch a fragment, he is pursued by a piercing flame. 10 So ask them (that is, human beings): “Were they harder to create than the objects We created?” We created them from sticky clay. 11 But you wonder, while they mock, 12 And, when they are admonished, pay no heed,- 13 And when they see an Ayah (a sign, a proof, or an evidence) from Allah, they mock at it. 14 And they say, “This is nothing but clear magic.” 15 When we have become dead and have become dust and bones, shall we then verily be raised? 16 And also our forefathers? 17 Say: Aye! and you shall be abject. 18 for that [resurrection which they deride] will be [upon them of a sudden, as if it were] but a single accusing cry - and then, lo! they will begin to see [the truth] 19 They will say, "Woe to us! This is the Day of Reckoning." 20 'This is the Day of Decision, even that you cried lies to. 21
