The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah)
96 verses, revealed in Mecca after T H (Taa Haa) before The Poets (Alshu'araa')
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
۞ When the inevitable event comes, 1 Which is bound to happen undoubtedly -- 2 It will abase some and exalt others. 3 When the earth shall be shaken with a (severe) shaking, 4 and the mountains are shattered into [countless] shards, 5 so that they become as scattered dust 6 [on that Day,] then, shall you be [divided into] three kinds. 7 So those on the right how (fortunate) are those on the right! 8 And the Companions of the Left Hand,- what will be the Companions of the Left Hand? 9 And those Foremost (in Faith) will be Foremost (in the Hereafter). 10 those are they brought nigh the Throne, 11 They are in Gardens of peace. 12 A large group from the earlier generations. 13 And a few from the latter. 14 On thrones woven [with ornament], 15 facing one another. 16 Immortal youths will serve them 17 With goblets and ewers and a cup of limpid drink. 18 No after-ache will they receive therefrom, nor will they suffer intoxication: 19 And fruits that they may like. 20 And the flesh of fowl such as they desire. 21 They will have maidens with large, lovely black and white eyes, 22 Like unto Pearls well-guarded. 23 [And this will be] a reward for what they did [in life]. 24 They will not hear any unnecessary or sinful talk 25 But only the saying of: Salam!, Salam! (greetings with peace)! 26 The Companions of the Right 27 (They will be) among Lote-trees without thorns, 28 And clusters of banana plants. 29 and extended shade, 30 and waters gushing, 31 And abundant fruit, 32 Whose season is not limited, nor (supply) forbidden, 33 and raised couches 34 and their spouses We shall have brought them into being afresh, 35 And made them virgins, 36 Loving, equals in age, 37 For the Companions of the Right Hand. 38

Notes and Instructions
When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
