The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
When the sun shall be darkened, 1 And when the stars fall down. 2 When the mountains vanish (like a mirage); 3 when the pregnant camels shall be neglected, 4 when the savage beasts are gathered 5 when the seas shall be set boiling, 6 And when souls are reunited, 7 And when the female (infant) buried alive (as the pagan Arabs used to do) shall be questioned. 8 such as, "For what crime were they murdered?" 9 And when the Records of Account are laid bare. 10 when the sky is unveiled, 11 And when hell is further enflamed. 12 And when the Garden is brought near;- 13 (Then) shall each soul know what it has put forward. 14 No indeed; I swear by the alternating stars 15 That run their course (and) hide themselves, 16 and the night as it darkly falls, 17 And by the dawn when it breathes 18 that the Quran is the word of the honorable angelic, mighty Messenger 19 of power, given a rank by the Owner of the Throne 20 who is obeyed there and is worthy of trust. 21 And your companion is not insane. 22 Assuredly he beheld him in the horizon manifest. 23 And Muhammad is not a withholder of [knowledge of] the unseen. 24 The Quran is not the word of condemned satan. 25 When whither go ye? 26 This is merely a reminder to all mankind; 27 (With profit) to whoever among you wills to go straight: 28 And what will you wish, except if Allah wills – the Lord of the Creation. 29
