And man (the disbeliever) says: "When I am dead, shall I then be raised up alive?" 66 Does not man remember that We created him before, when he was nothing? 67 So by your Lord, We shall assemble them and the devils – all of them – and bring them around hell, fallen on their knees. 68 Then We shall pluck forth from every party whichever of them was the most hardened in disdain of the All-merciful; 69 We alone know who deserves most to be burned therein. 70 And there is none among you who shall not pass over hell; this is an obligatory affair, binding upon your Lord. (Allah will make everyone pass over the back of hell – on a thin bridge.) 71 Then We shall rescue those who kept from evil, and leave the evil-doers crouching there. 72 And when Our manifest revelations are rehearsed unto them, those who disbelieve say unto those who believe: which of the two portions is better in station and goodlier in company? 73 How many generations have We destroyed before them, who were far greater in riches and more boastful! 74 Say thou: whosoever is in error - surely unto him the Compassionate lengtheneth a length, until when they behold that wherewith they were threatened, either the torment or the Hour, then they shall come to know whosoever is worse in position and weaker as an army. 75 (On the contrary), Allah increases in guidance those who follow the Right Way. Lasting acts of righteousness are better in the sight of your Lord as reward and conducive to a better end. 76 Have you seen he who disbelieves Our verses and yet says: 'I shall surely be given wealth and children' 77 Has he looked to the unseen, or has he made a pledge to the Merciful One? 78 By no means! We write down what he says, and We will lengthen to him the length of the chastisement 79 and We shall inherit from him what he says, and he shall come to Us alone. 80 And they have chosen Gods besides Allah, so that they may provide them strength! 81 But nay! [On Judgment Day] these [very objects of adoration] will disavow the worship that was paid to them, and will turn against those [who had worshipped them]! 82
