۞ O men, you are the ones that have need of God; He is the All-sufficient, the All-laudable. 15 If He wills, He can take you away and bring other creatures. 16 And with Allah that shall not be hard. 17 And a burdened soul cannot bear the burden of another and if one weighed down by burden should cry for (another to carry) its burden, not aught of it shall be carried, even though he be near of kin. You warn only those who fear their Lord in secret and keep up prayer; and whoever purifies himself, he purifies himself only for (the good of) his own soul; and to Allah is the eventual coming. 18 Not equal are the blind and the seeing man, 19 nor darkness and light; 20 the shade and the torrid heat; 21 Neither are the living and the dead alike. Surely Allah makes whom He pleases hear, and you cannot make those hear who are in the graves. 22 You are simply a warner. 23 We have sent you in all truth as a bearer of glad news and a warner. No nation who lived before was left without a warner. 24 If they reject you, so did their predecessors. Messengers came to them with clear signs, with scriptures, and with the enlightening Book, 25 So We seized the unbelievers. How great was the change I wrought in their condition then! 26
