Say (unto them, O Muhammad): I pray unto Allah only, and ascribe unto Him no partner. 20 Say, "It is not in my power to cause you either harm or good?" 21 Say: "No one can deliver me from Allah (If I were to disobey Him), nor should I find refuge except in Him, 22 Mine is but the publishing from Allah and His messages; and whosoever disobeyeth Allah and His apostle, his portion verily is the Hell-Fire as abiders therein for evermore. 23 Till (the day) when they shall behold that which they are promised (they may doubt); but then they will know (for certain) who is weaker in allies and less in multitude. 24 Say: 'I do not know whether that which you are promised is near, or whether my Lord will set for it a time. 25 Knower He of the Unseen, and He discloses not His Unseen to anyone, 26 Save unto every messenger whom He hath chosen, and then He maketh a guard to go before him and a guard behind him 27 That he may know that they have conveyed the messages of their Lord; and He has encompassed whatever is with them and has enumerated all things in number. 28
True are the words of God the Almighty.

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
