The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the heavens and that which comes in the night -- 1 And have you understood what the nightly arriver is? 2 (It is) the piercing star. 3 There is not a soul but over it is a keeper. 4 So man must consider from what he has been created. 5 he was created of gushing water 6 emanating from between the loins and the ribs. 7 Surely He is able to bring him back 8 The Day when secrets will be put on trial, 9 He shall have neither strength nor helper. 10 By the rotating heavens 11 by the earth cracking open with new growth. 12 BEHOLD, this [divine writ] is indeed a word that distinguishes between truth and falsehood, 13 And it is not a frivolity. 14 They (disbelievers) plot every evil plan, 15 But I too am devising a plan. 16 So leave the unbelievers to themselves; respite them awhile. 17
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
