Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful

Competition in [worldly] increase diverts you 1 until you come to the graves. 2 Lo! presently ye shall know. 3 Again lo! presently ye shall know. 4 Nay! If you knew with a sure knowledge (the end result of piling up, you would not have occupied yourselves in worldly things) 5 You have indeed to behold Hell; 6 Then you will see it with the eye of certainty. 7 On that Day, you shall be questioned about the pleasures. 8

Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
