The Hidden Secret (Al-Muddath-thir)
56 verses, revealed in Mecca after Unknown Person (Al-Muzzammil) before The Key (Al-Faatehah)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
Cloaked one, 1 Arise, and warn. 2 And thine Lord magnify! 3 And your garments purify! 4 And all abomination shun! 5 and bestow not favour in order to seek from others a greater return, 6 And for the sake of your Lord, patiently endure. 7 For when the trumpet is sounded, 8 Surely that day will be a day of anguish, 9 Dolorous for the unbelievers. 10 Leave him to Me whom I created alone, 11 and whom I have granted abundant wealth 12 and sons to be by his side, 13 And for whom I smoothed everything. 14 Yet he wants that I should give him more. 15 Never will he receive more. He has been hostile to Our revelations. 16 I shall soon constrain him to a hard ascent. 17 Behold, [when Our messages are conveyed to one who is bent on denying the truth,] he reflects and meditates [as to how to disprove them] 18 So accursed be he, how evilly did he decide! 19 Again accursed be he, how evilly did he decide! 20 He then dared to lift his gaze. 21 Then he frowned and scowled, 22 Then turned he away in pride 23 Then he said: "This is nothing but magic from that of old; 24 “This is nothing but the speech of a man.” 25 I will soon fling him into hell. 26 And what will make you know exactly what Hell-fire is? 27 It leaves nothing, nor does it spare; 28 It scorches the mortal. 29 Over it are nineteen (angels guarding). 30 And We have not made the keepers of the Fire except angels. And We have not made their number except as a trial for those who disbelieve - that those who were given the Scripture will be convinced and those who have believed will increase in faith and those who were given the Scripture and the believers will not doubt and that those in whose hearts is hypocrisy and the disbelievers will say, "What does Allah intend by this as an example?" Thus does Allah leave astray whom He wills and guides whom He wills. And none knows the soldiers of your Lord except Him. And mention of the Fire is not but a reminder to humanity. 31

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
