He Frowned ('Abasa)
42 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Stars (Al-Najm) before Destiny (Al-Qadr)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ He frowned and turned away 1 Because there came to him the blind man (interrupting). 2 Yet for all thou didst know, [O Muhammad,] he might perhaps have grown in purity, 3 or receive some (Quranic) advice which would benefit him. 4 As for him who thinks himself self-sufficient, 5 To him do you address yourself. 6 Yet it is not thy concern if he grow not (in grace). 7 But as for him who cometh unto thee with earnest purpose 8 and in awe [of God] 9 him didst thou disregard! 10 No indeed; this is only a Reminder. 11 So let whosoever will pay heed to it, 12 In honored books, 13 most exalted and purified, 14 [borne] by the hands of messengers 15 noble and most virtuous. 16 Be cursed (the disbelieving) man! How ungrateful he is! 17 From what did He create him? 18 From a drop of seed. He createth him and proportioneth him, 19 Then eased the way for him. 20 Then causeth him to die, and burieth him; 21 Then, when He will, He bringeth him again to life. 22 Nay, but man did not fulfil what Allah had enjoined upon him. 23 Then let man look at his food, (and how We provide it): 24 How We pour water in showers 25 And We split the earth in fragments, 26 Then We cause therein the grain to grow, 27 And Grapes and nutritious plants, 28 Olives and dates, 29 And gardens, dense with many trees, 30 and fruits and fodder 31 (To be) a provision and benefit for you and your cattle. 32 But when the deafening cry shall be sounded 33 On that day man will run away from his brother. 34 his mother and his father, 35 And his wife and his children, 36 every man that day shall have business to suffice him. 37 [Some] faces, that Day, will be bright - 38 Laughing and full of joy, 39 And many a face will be covered with dust on that day. 40 and overcast with gloom: 41 These are they who are unbelievers, the wicked. 42
Almighty Allah's Truth.

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
