When the caravan departed their father had said: Truly I am conscious of the breath of Joseph, though ye call me dotard. 94 They said: "By Allah! truly thou art in thine old wandering mind." 95 Then when the bearer of the good news came, He cast (the shirt) over his face, and he forthwith regained clear sight. He said: "Did I not say to you, 'I know from Allah that which ye know not?'" 96 [His sons] answered: "O our father! Ask God to forgive us our sins, for, verily, we were sinners." 97 He said: presently I shall pray for forgiveness for you of my Lord; verily He! only He is the Forgiving, the Merciful. 98 Then when they entered the presence of Joseph, he provided a home for his parents with himself, and said: "Enter ye Egypt (all) in safety if it please Allah." 99 He helped his parents to a couch and they all fell down on their knees before him. He said, "My father, this is the interpretation of my dream. My Lord has made it come true! He was kind to me when He let me out of prison and brought you from the desert after Satan had brought about discord between me and my brethren. My Lord is the best planner in achieving what He will; He is All Knowing, and Truly Wise." 100 ۞ “O my Lord! you have given me a kingdom* and have taught me how to interpret some events; O Creator of the heavens and the earth – you are my Supporter in the world and in the Hereafter; cause me to die as a Muslim, and unite me with those who deserve Your proximity.” (* Prophethood and the rule over Egypt. Prophet Yusuf said this prayer while his death approached him.) 101 These are tidings of the unseen that We reveal to you, [O Prophet], though you were not present with them when they plotted and agreed upon a plan. 102 Yet no faith will the greater part of mankind have, however ardently thou dost desire it. 103 You shall ask no wage for it. It is nothing except a reminder to all mankind. 104
