It is God who has created ears, eyes, and hearts for you. Little are the thanks that you give. 78 And He it is Who spread you on the earth, and unto Him ye will be gathered. 79 It is He Who gives life and causes death, and He holds mastery over the alternation of night and day. Do you not understand this? 80 They say exactly the same thing as the people who lived before. 81 They said, 'What, when we are dead and become dust and bones, shall we be indeed raised up? 82 Certainly we are promised this, and (so were) our fathers aforetime; this is naught but stories of those of old. 83 Say: "To whom belong the earth and all beings therein? (say) if ye know!" 84 They will say: Unto Allah. Say: Will ye not then remember? 85 Say: Who is Lord of the seven heavens, and Lord of the Tremendous Throne? 86 They will say: "God." Say: "Then why do you not obey and fear Him?" 87 Say "In Whose Hand is the sovereignty of everything (i.e. treasures of each and everything)? And He protects (all), while against Whom there is no protector, (i.e. if Allah saves anyone none can punish or harm him, and if Allah punishes or harms anyone none can save him), if you know." [Tafsir Al-Qurtubi, Vol. 12, Page 145] 88 [And] they will reply: "[All this power belongs] to God." Say: 'How, then, can you be so deluded?" 89 No, We have brought the truth to them, but they are liars. 90 Never did God take unto Himself any offspring, nor has there ever been any deity side by side with Him: [for, had there been any,] lo! each deity would surely have stood apart [from the others] in whatever it had created, and they would surely have [tried to] overcome one another! Limitless in His glory is God, [far] above anything that men may devise by way of definition, 91 [He is] Knower of the unseen and the witnessed, so high is He above what they associate [with Him]. 92
