Hizb 46
< random >
And verily Yunus was of the sent ones. 139 when he fled like a runaway slave onto a laden ship. 140 And then drew lots and was of those rejected; 141 And the fish swallowed him while he was blameworthy; 142 Had he not been of them who glorify Allah, 143 He would certainly have remained inside the Fish till the Day of Resurrection. 144 ۞ Then We cast him on a bare desert whilst he was sick. 145 And We made a gourd tree grow over him. 146 And [then] We sent him [once again] to [his people,] a hundred thousand [souls] or more: 147 And they believed, whrefore We let them enjoy life for a season. 148 Then ask them whether your Lord has daughters and they have sons. 149 Or did We make the angels females, and they witnessed it? 150 No indeed! It is one of their fabrications when they say: 151 "God has begotten (children)?" They are liars indeed! 152 “Has he chosen daughters instead of sons?” 153 Woe to you! How terrible is your Judgment. 154 What, will you not remember? 155 Or have you clear evidence? 156 Then bring your scripture, if what you say is true. 157 And they have invented a kinship between Him and the jinns, but the jinns know well that they have indeed to appear (before Him) (i.e. they will be brought for accounts). 158 limitless is God in His glory, above anything that men may devise by way of definition! 159 except for the sincere worshipers of Allah. 160 So surely you and what you worship, 161 Cannot lead astray [turn away from Him (Allah) anyone of the believers], 162 except those who are doomed to enter hell. 163 [The angels say], "Every single one of us has his place assigned: 164 And most surely we are they who draw themselves out in ranks, 165 Lo! we, even we are they who hymn His praise 166 They used to say: 167 Had we a reminder from those of yore, 168 we would surely have been God's chosen servants," 169 But they disbelieve in it (the Koran), but soon they shall know! 170 for, long ago has Our word gone forth unto Our servants, the message-bearers, 171 that, verily, they - they indeed - would be succoured, 172 And [that] indeed, Our soldiers will be those who overcome. 173 So turn thou away from them for a little while, 174 And (then) see them, so they too shall see. 175 Do they wish (indeed) to hurry on our Punishment? 176 But then, once it alights upon them, hapless will be the awakening of those who were warned [to no avail]! 177 So turn thou away from them for a little while, 178 And see thou: they themselves shall presently see. 179 Exalted be your Lord, the Lord of Glory, above what they attribute to Him, 180 And peace be unto those sent (to warn). 181 And praise belongs to Allah, Lord of the Worlds. 182
God the Almighty always says the truth.
End of Surah: The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat). Sent down in Mecca after Animals (Al-An 'aam) before Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
