The Elephant (Al-Feel)

5 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Disbelievers (Al-Kaaferoon) before Daybreak (Al-Falaq)

Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

Have you (O Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) not seen how your Lord dealt with the Owners of the Elephant? [The elephant army which came from Yemen under the command of Abrahah Al-Ashram intending to destroy the Ka'bah at Makkah]. 1 Did He not utterly confound their artful planning? 2 Thus, He let loose upon them great swarms of flying creatures 3 which smote them with stones of baked clay, 4 So He made them like the leftover devoured leaves of farms? 5

True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
