The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ The believers have indeed attained true success: 1 those who, in their Prayers, humble themselves; 2 And they who turn away from ill speech 3 and at almsgiving are active 4 And they who guard their private parts 5 Except from their wives or those their right hands possess, for indeed, they will not be blamed - 6 (but whosoever seeks after more than that, those are the transgressors) 7 and who preserve their trusts and their covenant 8 And those who are watchful of their acts of prayer. 9 These are the real gainers, 10 These are the heirs of Paradise wherein they will live forever. 11 And certainly did We create man from an extract of clay. 12 then We set him, a drop, in a receptacle secure, 13 We then turned the drop of fluid into a clot of blood, then the clot into a small lump of flesh, then the lump into bones, then covered the bones with flesh; then developed it in a different mould; therefore Most Auspicious is Allah, the Best Creator. 14 After that, at length ye will die 15 Then surely on the day of resurrection you shall be raised. 16 And indeed, We have created above you seven [celestial] orbits: and never are We unmindful of [any aspect of Our] creation. 17 We have sent a measure of water from the sky to stay on earth and We have the power to take it away. 18 With it We grow for you gardens of date-palms and vines: in them have ye abundant fruits: and of them ye eat (and have enjoyment),- 19 And created the tree that comes forth from Mount Sinai – that grows containing oil and curry for the eaters. 20 And verily in the cattle for you is a lesson. We give you to drink of that which is in their bellies, and for you in them are advantages many, and of them ye eat. 21 and upon them and on the ships you are carried. 22
