And those who disbelieve say: when we have become dust, we and our fathers, shall we, for sooth, be brought forth? 67 We were promised this, forsooth, we and our fathers. (All) this is naught but fables of the men of old. 68 Say: Travel in the earth, then see how was the end of the guilty. 69 (Muhammad), do not be grieved (about their disbelief) nor distressed about their evil plans against you. 70 They ask, "When will this promise be fulfilled, if what you say be true?" 71 Say, "Perhaps it is close behind you - some of that for which you are impatient. 72 And indeed, your Lord is full of bounty for the people, but most of them do not show gratitude." 73 The Lord knows full well what they conceal in their hearts and what they disclose: 74 And not a thing is there hidden in heaven and earth but it is in a Manifest Book. 75 Verily this Qur'an doth explain to the Children of Israel most of the matters in which they disagree. 76 It is a guidance and a mercy to believers. 77 Indeed your Lord will decide between them by His judgement. He is All-Mighty, All-Knowing. 78 So put thy trust in Allah: for thou art on (the path of) manifest Truth. 79 Indeed the dead* do not listen to your call nor do the deaf* listen to your call, when they flee turning back. (The dead and deaf implies the disbelievers.) 80 Nor can you lead the blind out of their error, you can only make to hear those who believe in Our Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.), and who have submitted (themselves to Allah in Islam as Muslims). 81 ۞ When the sentence will have been passed against them, We shall bring forth beastly brutes from the earth who will torment them, for men certainly do not believe Our signs. 82
