182 verses, revealed in Mecca after Animals (Al-An 'aam) before Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
I swear by (the angels) who stand in ranks, 1 and the drivers driving, 2 Then those who recite, being mindful, 3 Most surely your Allah is One: 4 Lord of the heavens and the earth, and of what between them is Lord of the Easts. 5 We have decked the lower heavens with stars 6 (For beauty) and for guard against all obstinate rebellious evil spirits, 7 They cannot listen to the exalted assembly, and they are darted at from every side. 8 Repelled; and for them is a constant punishment, 9 Except him who snatcheth away a word by stealth, and him then pursueth a glowing flame. 10 So ask them if they are more difficult to create, or the rest We have created? Indeed (man) We created from fermented clay. 11 (Muhammad), you will be surprised that they still mock (God's revelations). 12 And when they are reminded, they remember not. 13 and, when they see a sign, would scoff; 14 And they say, “This is nothing but clear magic.” 15 What, when we are dead and become dust and bones, shall we be resurrected. 16 And so also shall our forefathers of yore be raised to life?” 17 Say: "Yea, indeed - and most abject will you then be!" 18 There will be a single stern rebuff and lo, they will be observing with their own eyes (all that they had been warned against). 19 They will say, "Woe to us! This is the Day of Reckoning." 20 'This is the Day of Decision, even that you cried lies to. 21

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
