Hizb 46
< random >
And verily Yunus was of the sent ones. 139 when he ran away to the laden ship 140 He (agreed to) cast lots, and he was among the losers, 141 then the whale swallowed him down, and he blameworthy. 142 And had he not been of those who [even in the deep darkness of their distress are able to] extol God's limitless glory, 143 He would have tarried in its belly till the day when they are raised; 144 ۞ We then put him ashore on a plain, and he was sick. 145 and We caused a gourd tree to grow over him. 146 We sent him to a hundred thousand or more people. 147 And they believed, so We gave them enjoyment [of life] for a time. 148 So ask their opinion: “(Are you convinced) that your Lord should have daughters and you should have sons? 149 Or did We create the angels females, while they were witnesses? 150 Pay heed! It is their slander that they say. 151 "Allah has begotten children"? but they are liars! 152 Has He chosen daughters above sons? 153 What is the matter with you that you make such strange judgements? 154 Will ye not then receive admonition? 155 Or have you a clear authority? 156 Bring your book if what you say is true. 157 They have set up a kinship between Him and the jinn; and the jinn know that they shall be arraigned. 158 (They say): “Exalted be Allah above what they attribute to Him, 159 Except the chosen servants of Allah [who do not share in that sin]. 160 Wherefore verily neither ye nor that which ye worship, 161 can cause anyone to fall prey to your temptation 162 Except one who is (destined) to burn in Hell. 163 And there is none of us but has an assigned place, 164 “And indeed we, with our wings spread, await the command.” 165 And we are most surely they who declare the glory (of Allah). 166 And they surely were wont to say: 167 "If only we had a tradition [to this effect] from our forebears, 168 “We would certainly be the chosen bondmen of Allah.” 169 But when it came to them, they rejected it. They shall soon come to know (the end of such an attitude). 170 We decreed that Our Messenger servants 171 That they verily would be made triumphant. 172 And that certainly Our armies will be victorious. 173 So withdraw from them (O Muhammad) awhile, 174 And watch them (how they fare), and they soon shall see (how thou farest)! 175 Would they hasten on Our doom? 176 But when it descends in their territory, then evil is the morning of those who were warned. 177 So turn thou away from them for a little while, 178 And watch, for they will (soon) see. 179 Glory be to thy Lord, the Lord of Glory, above that they describe! 180 And peace is upon the Noble Messengers. 181 And all the praise and thanks be to Allah, Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists). 182
True are the words of God the Almighty.
End of Surah: The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat). Sent down in Mecca after Animals (Al-An 'aam) before Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
