The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
By the heavens and that which comes in the night -- 1 And what will make you know what the comer by night is? 2 It is the star that shines with a piercing brightness -- 3 There is no human being but has a protector over him (or her) (i.e. angels incharge of each human being guarding him, writing his good and bad deeds, etc.) 4 Let the human being reflect that from what he has been created. 5 He was created from a fluid, ejected, 6 Issuing from (the pelvis) between the backbone and the ribs. 7 Most surely He is able to return him (to life). 8 The Day when all the secrets (deeds, prayers, fasting, etc.) will be examined (as to their truth). 9 he shall have no power, and no helper. 10 By heaven of the returning rain, 11 by the earth cracking open with new growth. 12 this (Qur'an) is surely a decisive Word, 13 it is not a jest. 14 They are devising guile, 15 but I shall bring all their scheming to nought. 16 So bear with unbelievers with patience, and give them respite for a while. 17
Almighty God's Truth.

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
