The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)
9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
Woe to every slanderer and backbiter. 1 Who hath gathered wealth (of this world) and arranged it. 2 He thinks that his wealth will make him last forever! 3 By no means! He will be sure to be thrown into That which Breaks to Pieces, 4 How will you comprehend what Hutama is? 5 It is the Fire kindled by Allah, 6 to penetrate into the hearts. 7 Indeed, Hellfire will be closed down upon them 8 In outstretched columns. 9
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
