Thorns (Al-Masad)

5 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Key (Al-Faatehah) before The Rolling (Al-Takweer)

In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful

Perish the hands of Abu Lahab, and perish he! 1 His wealth avails him not, neither what he has earned; 2 He shall soon enter a Blazing Fire, 3 together with his wife, that carrier of evil tales, 4 On her neck shall be a cord of twisted fibre. 5

God the Almighty always says the truth.
