Surely We brought man into being out of dry ringing clay which was wrought from black mud, 26 And the jinn, We had created them afore of the fire of the scroching wind. 27 But when your Lord said to the angels: "I am verily going to create a human being from fermented clay dried tingling hard; 28 When I have formed him and breathed My spirit into him, fall down in prostration before him," 29 All the angels prostrated before Adam 30 Except Iblees, he refused to be with those who prostrated. 31 Said He: "O Iblis! What is thy reason for not being among those who have prostrated themselves?" 32 He answered, “It does not befit me to prostrate myself to a human whom You have created from sounding clay made out of black smelly mud.” 33 Said Allah, “Therefore exit from Paradise, for you are an outcast.” 34 and there shall be a curse upon you till the Day of Recompense." 35 He said, "My Lord, then reprieve me until the Day they are resurrected." 36 "You are among the reprieved," (said the Lord), 37 Till the Day of appointed time. 38 He said: My Lord! because Thou hast made life evil to me, I will certainly make (evil) fair-seeming to them on earth, and I will certainly cause them all to deviate 39 excepting those Thy servants among them that are devoted. 40 (To which God) said: "This way is right by Me. 41 "For over My servants no authority shalt thou have, except such as put themselves in the wrong and follow thee." 42 And indeed, Hell is the promised place for them all. 43 There are seven gates in it, and to each gate a portion of them has been allotted. 44
