Verily We bestowed Our favours on Moses and Aaron 114 and We saved them and their people from the awesome calamity [of bondage,] 115 We succoured them, and they gained the upper hand (against their enemies). 116 And We gave them the explicit Scripture, 117 and showed them the Straight Way, 118 And We let it (the beautiful praise) remain upon on both of them in the latter (generations), 119 'Peace be upon Moses and, Aaron!' 120 Indeed, We thus reward the doers of good. 121 Lo! they are two of Our believing slaves. 122 And indeed Ilyas is one of the Noble Messengers. 123 When he said to his people: "Will you not fear Allah? 124 “What! You worship Baal (an idol) and leave the Best Creator?” 125 who is your Lord and the Lord of your forefathers?" 126 They denied him, and will surely be brought to punishment, 127 except for God's sincere servants; 128 And We left his (memory) for posterity. 129 "Peace and salutation to such as Elias!" 130 Verily, thus do We reward the Muhsinun (good-doers, who perform good deeds totally for Allah's sake only - see V. 2:112). 131 Verily, he was one of Our believing slaves. 132 Lot was certainly a Messenger. 133 [and so,] when [We decreed the doom of his sinful town,] We saved him and his household, 134 except an old woman who lingered, 135 Then We destroyed the others. 136 You pass by their ruins morning 137 and night: will you not take heed? 138
