88 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Moon (Al-Qamar) before A 'araaf (Al-A 'araaf)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
Suad, I swear by the Quran, full of admonition. 1 But the unbelievers are still full of pride and hostility. 2 How many generations We have destroyed before them! And they cried out when it was too late to escape. 3 They are surprised that a warner should come to them from among themselves. They say, "This is a magician, a great liar. 4 Maketh he the gods One God? Verily that is a thing astounding! 5 A group of the pagans walked out of a meeting with the Prophet and told the others, "Let us walk away. Be steadfast in the worship of your gods. This man wants to dominate you. 6 We have not heard of any such thing in the old religion. This is nothing but a fabrication. 7 Has the reminder been revealed to him from among us? Nay! they are in doubt as to My reminder. Nay! they have not yet tasted My chastisement! 8 Or is it that they have the treasures of the mercy of your Lord, the Mighty, the great Giver? 9 Or is theirs the kingdom of the heavens and earth and of what between them is? Why, then let them ascend the cords! 10 This is only a small army out of the several armies that will suffer defeat here. 11 Before them the people of Noah denied the truth, as did the 'Ad and Pharaoh of the Stakes, 12 And Samood and the people of Lut and the dwellers of the thicket; these were the parties. 13 There was not one but belied the apostles, wherefore justified was My wrath. 14

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
