Al-Hijjr 2 of 6

We have made constellations in the sky and decorated them for the onlookers. 16 And We have preserved it from every accursed devil, 17 save him who may eavesdrop, and then a bright flame pursues him. 18 And the earth We have spread out (like a carpet); set thereon mountains firm and immovable; and produced therein all kinds of things in due balance. 19 and provided thereon means of livelihood for you [O men] as well as for all [living beings] whose sustenance does not depend on you. 20 And there is not a thing but that with Us are its depositories, and We do not send it down except according to a known measure. 21 And We sent the winds that relieve the clouds’ burden, therefore caused water to descend from the sky, then give it to you to drink; and you are not at all its treasurers. 22 And indeed it is We Who give life and it is We Who cause death, and We are the Inheritors. 23 We surely know those of you who go forward and those of you who lag behind. 24 And verily, your Lord will gather them together. Truly, He is All-Wise, All-Knowing. 25
