Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
By (the winds) that scatter dust. 1 And the clouds bearing a load. 2 And those who move (on the water) gently, 3 And those who distribute (it) by command, 4 indeed, that which you are promised is true, 5 And undoubtedly justice will surely be done. 6 By the heaven full of paths, 7 You are indeed in different opinions regarding this Qur’an. 8 From which only he turns who is turned away. 9 Accursed be the conjecturers 10 who are dazed in perplexity 11 they who [mockingly] ask, "When is that Day of Judgment to be?" 12 It will be on the day when they will be roasted in the fire. 13 (and be told): “Taste your ordeal! This is what you were seeking to hasten.” 14 The righteous shall live among gardens and fountains, 15 Accepting the rewards given by their Lord; they were indeed virtuous before this. 16 They slept but a little at night, 17 and would ask for forgiveness at dawn, 18 And the beggar and the destitute had a share in their wealth. 19 On the earth, and in yourselves, 20 And also in your own selves. Behold ye not? 21 And in the heaven is your provision and that which ye are promised. 22 Then, by the Lord of the heaven and the earth, it is the truth (i.e. what has been promised to you), just as it is the truth that you can speak. 23
