Al-Takweer
The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
29 verses, revealed in Mecca after Thorns (Al-Masad) before The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
When the sun Kuwwirat (wound round and lost its light and is overthrown). 1 The stars turn dim and scatter, 2 when the mountains shall be set moving, 3 And when full-term she-camels are neglected 4 And when the wild beasts are gathered 5 And when the seas are set afire. 6 And when souls are reunited, 7 And when the female (infant) buried alive (as the pagan Arabs used to do) shall be questioned. 8 For what sin she was killed 9 when the scrolls are unrolled, 10 the heavens are unveiled, 11 And when Hellfire is set ablaze 12 And when Paradise is brought near, 13 then shall a soul know what it has produced. 14 BUT NAY! I call to witness the revolving stars, 15 orbiting, disappearing; 16 and the night as it darkly falls, 17 and the morning when it extends, 18 truly this is the word of a noble Messenger 19 with strength endowed, secure with Him who in almightiness is enthroned 20 The one who is obeyed, and trustworthy. (Other angels obey angel Jibreel). 21 Your companion is not mad. 22 Surely he beheld Him on the clear horizon. 23 Neither doth he withhold grudgingly a knowledge of the Unseen. 24 nor is it a word of an accursed Satan. 25 where then are you going? 26 It is naught but a reminder for the nations, 27 for everyone of you who wishes to follow the Straight Way; 28 And you do not please except that Allah please, the Lord of the worlds. 29
God the Almighty always says the truth.
