Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
۞ When the heaven becomes cleft asunder, 1 When the planets are dispersed, 2 And when the seas are flowed out, 3 and the graves are turned inside out, 4 A soul will [then] know what it has put forth and kept back. 5 O human! What has deceived you concerning your Generous Lord 6 Who created thee, then moulded thee, then proportioned thee? 7 having put thee together in whatever form He willed [thee to have]? 8 Nay! But ye do reject Right and Judgment! 9 Surely, there are guardians watching over you, 10 noble scribes, 11 who know whatever you do. 12 Indeed the virtuous are in serenity. 13 And indeed the sinners are in hell. 14 Roasted they shall be therein on the Day of Requital. 15 And will not be able to hide from it. 16 Ah, what will convey unto thee what the Day of Judgment is! 17 Again would that you only knew how terrible it really is! 18 It is a Day whereon no soul shall own aught of power for any soul; and the command on that Day will be Allah's. 19
