When your Lord called upon Moses: "Go to the wicked people, 10 the people of Pharaoh, who refuse to be conscious of Me!" 11 He replied, "Lord, I am afraid that they will call me a liar. 12 I feel nervous and my tongue is not fluent, so send Aaron with me. 13 They hold a sin against me, and I fear that they will kill me' 14 Allah said: "Nay! Go you both with Our Signs. Verily! We shall be with you, listening. 15 go both to Pharaoh and both of you say to him: 'We are (each) a Messenger from the Lord of all the Worlds. 16 [Commanded to say], "Send with us the Children of Israel."'" 17 (Pharaoh) said (unto Moses): Did we not rear thee among us as a child? And thou didst dwell many years of thy life among us, 18 Yet you were ungrateful and have done the deed you did' 19 Moses replied: "I committed that act erringly. 20 I fled from you because I feared you. But my Lord has given me judgment and made me one of the Messengers. 21 Now this is the favour that you tauntingly remind me of: that you enslaved the Children of Israel!" 22 Pharaoh said: "And what is the 'Lord and Cherisher of the worlds'?" 23 (Moses) said: Lord of the heavens and the earth and all that is between them, if ye had but sure belief. 24 (Firon) said to those around him: Do you not hear? 25 Said Moosa, “Your Lord and the Lord of your forefathers preceding you.” 26 Pharaoh said, "This messenger who has been sent to you is surely possessed!" 27 He said: Lord of the east and the west and whatsoever is in-between, if ye understand. 28 Fir'aun (Pharaoh) said: "If you choose an ilah (god) other than me, I will certainly put you among the prisoners." 29 (Moses) said: "Even if I showed you something clear (and) convincing?" 30 (The Pharaoh) said: "Then bring it, if you speak the truth." 31 So [Moses] threw his staff, and suddenly it was a serpent manifest. 32 And he drew forth his hand, and lo! it appeared white to the onlookers. 33
