The dwellers of the thicket gave the lie to the apostles. 176 Shu'aib said to them: 'Will you not be cautious? 177 Lo! I am a faithful messenger unto you, 178 So fear Allah, and obey me. 179 “And I do not ask from you any fee for it; my reward is only upon the Lord Of The Creation.” 180 ۞ Give full measure and do not be of those who cause loss. 181 weigh with an even balance 182 And do not deprive people of their due and do not commit abuse on earth, spreading corruption. 183 Fear Him who created you and those who have gone before you." 184 They said: Thou art but one of the bewitched; 185 for thou art nothing but a mortal like ourselves! And behold, we think that thou art a consummate liar! 186 Then drop down on us lumps from heaven, if thou art one of the truthful.' 187 (Shu'aib) said: "My Lord knows well what you are doing." 188 But they denied him, and We seized them with the torment of the Day of Shadowing (when the cloud had rained down fire). It was indeed the torment of a terrible day! 189 Indeed in that is a sign, but most of them were not to be believers. 190 And most surely your Lord is Mighty, the Merciful. 191
