▼ 56 The Inevitable
Al-Waaqe'ah 3 of 3
۞ No! I swear by the positions of the stars – 75 And lo! that verily is a tremendous oath, if ye but knew - 76 it is surely a noble Koran 77 inscribed in a well-guarded Book, 78 Which none toucheth save the purified, 79 A revelation by the Lord of the worlds. 80 What, do you hold this discourse in disdain, 81 And you make its denial your share? 82 Why, then, when the soul leaps up to the throat, 83 And you at the moment are looking on, 84 And We are nigher unto him than ye are, but ye behold not 85 why, then, if [you think that] you are not truly dependent [on Us,] 86 can you not cause that [ebbing life] to return - if what you claim is true? 87 But if he [the dying person] is one of those brought near to God, 88 Then is relief, and flowers – and Gardens of peace. 89 And if he (the dying person) be of those on the Right Hand, 90 it will be with the people of the right hand, living in peace and security. 91 And if he is one of those who give the lie (to this Message) and go astray, 92 Then for him is entertainment with boiling water. 93 and the roasting in Hell. 94 Most surely this is a certain truth. 95 Then magnify the Name of thy Lord, the All-mighty. 96
