The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ Hallow thou the name of thine Lord, the Most High, 1 Who createth, then disposeth; 2 decreed their destinies, and provided them with guidance. 3 Who brings out the pastures 4 Then turneth it to russet stubble. 5 We will make you recite so you shall not forget, 6 except what Allah wills, surely, He knows all that is (spoken) aloud and what is hidden. 7 and [thus] shall We make easy for thee the path towards [ultimate] ease. 8 Therefore do remind, surely reminding does profit. 9 He who fears will mind, 10 But it will be avoided by those most unfortunate ones, 11 He who will be flung to the great Fire 12 Then he neither dies in it, nor lives. 13 Surely he will succeed who grows in goodness, 14 And remembers (glorifies) the Name of his Lord (worships none but Allah), and prays (five compulsory prayers and Nawafil additional prayers). 15 Nay (behold), ye prefer the life of this world; 16 While the hereafter is better and more lasting. 17 Indeed, this is in the former scriptures, 18 the Scriptures of Abraham and Moses. 19
