Al-Aadeyaat
The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By (the horses) that charge snorting, 1 by the strikers of fire, 2 Then those that make raids at morn, 3 And therein raising dust. 4 Then penetrate to the centre of the enemy army. 5 Indeed mankind, to his Lord, is ungrateful. 6 And indeed he himself is a witness to it. 7 He certainly has a strong love for wealth and riches. 8 ۞ Does he not then know when what is in the graves is raised, 9 and that which is in the chest is brought out, 10 On that day will their Lord be perfectly informed concerning them. 11
